ANALYST – DOMESTIC MARKETS (1 POST), HO
GRADE: BoZM5
Job Purpose
To monitor and analyse developments in the domestic money and capital markets in order to provide appropriate advice regarding the implications of such developments on monetary policy implementation.
Main Accountabilities
- Monitoring and analyzing activities in the domestic money, capital and foreign exchange markets.
- Contribution to Governor’s speaking notes on developments in the domestic financial markets.
- Preparation of the monthly financial market review.
- Undertake research in domestic financial markets and monetary policy issues aimed at improving monetary policy implementation.
- Preparation of analytical reports covering domestic bond markets, money markets, derivatives markets and other related credit markets.
- Participate in preparing the Financial Market Quarterly report to the Board.
- Analyze periodically the performance of Open Market Operations (OMO) with a view to enhancing monetary policy implementation.
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc/BA in Economics; Banking and Finance or equivalent
- Three (3) years’ relevant experience
- Grade 12 School Certificate with a minimum of five (5) ‘O’ Levels (Credit or better)
